This work is performed in tandem with both the Facilities Planning and Construction Group and Real Estate Design and Construction personnel.

The development and planning work includes the formulation of utilization projections, assistance with service line business plans, space programming, functional adjacency recommendations, and design input.

The equipment component includes developing required equipment lists along with pricing and coordinating the transference of required technical data to the design team. It includes, assisting in researching equipment alternatives, the development of RFPs for equipment along with assistance in site tours and vendor manufacturing visits if required.

The goals are to standardize on equipment to the extent possible, maintain current technology, and ensure value for dollars expended. The planning and programming goals are to assist in maximizing the efficiency of allocated space and ensuring that space allocations are congruent with projected needs.
