Medical Facilities Planning and Construction
Medical Facilities Planning and Construction (M.F.P.C.) is responsible for all non-capital renovation projects on the medical campus and its satellites under $3.5 million. In addition to overseeing the construction of these projects, the department also handles all issues pertaining to contracts and permit issues with the city, county, and state (AHCA).
By acting as an owner representative, the primary function of M.F.P.C. is to ascertain what the specific construction needs are that the departments or divisions require. Once this is determined, M.F.P.C. will hire a design team to develop the scope of the project and subsequently manage the construction through completion.
The department also coordinates with Network, Telecommunications, and Security to install all necessary infrastructure once a project is initiated.
HOW TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS
- Fax a filled out Request for Service (RFS) form to 305-243-6996. Request for Service
- Project is logged in and a Project Manager (PM) is assigned.
- PM will then schedule an initial appointment to review the scope of work.
